I just thought I would pop up a little post to let anyone who views the site that I haven’t disappeared, I’m currently at work offshore on an oil rig in the North Sea. Weathers terribly bad so no idea how long it will be until the chopper can get us outta here. Anyway, just a little heads up that as soon as I get off here I am going to list a few items to sell. Bad times ahead work wise due to rubbishy falling oil price have forced my hand so to raise a few extra pennies I’m going to sell some bits and bobs. The first items will be: an old RAF station bell dated 1943, complete with its original clanger and hanging bracket. (See earlier post), also an RAF air ministry marked 1940 hand bell. Like the one in an earlier post on here. I also have a 1946 Mercury industries military bicycle I would like to sell. This company only made bicycles for the armed forces during their short existence. This one is in lovely condition. I also have some Air Ministry folding chairs, all 1940s stamped and with the AM and stores ref number stamped into the frame to sell. I have an Aldis signalling lamp (see earlier post) and a locker or two that I would like to sell. I will post pictures of these on here as soon as I get back from work.
